Since our substance is desire and since we don’t seem to know what we want, and since we are facing crises on multiple levels and since it’s turning hellish, perhaps it’s time to scrutinize our wills and find a common one and start feeding it, make it real, stop dying.

It’s hard to be positive in a reality like this. Two obstacles. One, I’m blaming it on “reality” although what is messed up is my way of seeing it. Two, I keep trying to improve myself although what needs to be improved is my connection to others.

War, food- and energy shortages, diseases etc. They’re offshoots of the real problem, which is obviously human relations. The problem is not that we don’t know what the real problem is, but rather that we’re still unable/unwilling to deal with it. We’re still children.

Getting clearer. Clear that we’re not taking responsibility for our development. We let things happen. Problems increase. It’s as if we say “force us,” force us to rethink our ways. So nature shows us. So human behavior shows us. Destruction and development by suffering.

Is it okay to blame my shortcomings on the world? I mean, it’s clearly a crazy world. And to navigate in a crazy world, what do you need to be? Right. Crazy. And if you’re not, it’s not okay, not at all. You can go against our pretty values if you like, but you won’t be one of us.

We built structures we no longer want. They were built on our thoughts. They slowly changed into monsters. They chained us. We altered our thoughts, conceded, pretending to be free. We’re not. We’re starting to see it. We kick and scream; but more importantly — think again.

When I feel that everything is hopeless I try to remind myself of the insignificance of everything I’m engaged in, of everything I am. It helps. However, I usually fail to do so. People around me too fail to tell me. It’s as if we’re stuck in this illusion of self importance.

--

--

Criticism, strife, disagreement. The fact that we’re afraid of them kind of stops us from finding mutual support and good relations between us. I mean, those are our main features. We can’t just skip them. Those are the stepping stones into a better future.

--

--

A good future. Do we ask ourselves what it is? Or are we still only in the present? I mean, are we opening our eyes to what’s not so good. Or are we still “chilling”, which is what we’ve been doing so far, quite successfully — depending on how you look at it.

--

--

Oppression. History is full of it. We’re full of it too, especially me. Only in a more concealed, covered way. Controlled. We say we have, or want freedom. But do we know what it is? Who is the ruler and who is being ruled? I know. I’m my own master, and slave. And slave.
